A MARGARINE TASTE TEST

11/18/2020

For some the margarine debate continues, although this might not be the case for the Enjoy Margarine Team (we know which one we’d choose), we understand that some are still in need of more information on margarine. This is why we are happy to shed light and provide you different facts about the debate to help clarify that internal question of margarine?

While we could go on and on about why we love margarine and choose to enjoy it every day, we thought we would introduce you to some folks over in Canada who have had some similar thoughts about margarine as many of our readers. The Perfect Bite in Canada helps viewers make healthy choices, explore new foods and products and in general answer any questions that may have the readers stumped:

  • • Margarine can absolutely be healthy for us, because it contains vegetable oils that are unsaturated fats.
  • • Margarine is higher in ‘good’ fats- polyunsaturated and monounsaturated-.
  • • We recommend that you use a sources of unsaturated fat over saturated fat more often, so from that perspective I think margarine is better, if you’re using this type of product on an ongoing basis.

These are all great points about margarine. The most important bit to take away from these is that we should be concentrating on consuming good fats such as polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats and avoiding bad fats. Fat information is commonly displayed in the nutritional facts label of foods so be sure to read your labels.
